<lj:music>The Afters - Someday</lj:music>

ok, here's Andrew's life as of 4/20/05 @ 8:30 PM:

1. I have a job. Probably two jobs. Both of which are in Baton Rouge. A third job, on the paint crew in Trinidad, CO, is open to me for the next week. I don't want to take it. (more on that later if I feel like it - just know it has NOTHING to do with my dad.) The job I DO have is at the Country Club of Louisiana in the 19th hole (men's bar/grill/locker room/workout facilities), for the women and non-golfers among us. Basically, I'm a janitor (we can thank Danka for that description). I get paid to clean up and do chores that I do at home. In khakis instead of boxers. Whoohoo. Oh, and I get a nametag. Sweet.

2. I have a checking account to go with the job. Only thing is, I can't use it unless I'm @ an ATM. Example: WE went to Hello Sushi for lunch for Danka's bday. Only thing is, when I go to pay, I can't use my card. So Logan paid for me. Thanks Logan. Yeah, so here I am, having to wait 7-14 days for my new LSU ATM CARD!! Whoohooo GEAUX TIGERS!!

3. Speaking of Tigers- www.firesmokelaval.com anyone?

4. I'm thinking about changing my classes over to that of a masscomm major. IDK I just feel like, as time passes, I'm better suited to that field than medicine. Maybe I can make children's programming and movies! (I want to be a pediatrician.)

5. I dominated a game of Halo 2 on Live today. Friedriches is on his way back to the top.

6. School needs to end and not end at the same time. Confused? So am I.

Yesterday I remembered my first day of kindergarten. Now, I know that pre-school came before that, but my mom was really involved in preschool. In kindergarten, I was going to be apart from her all day. The night before and morning of, she warned me about this. But when it came time to get out in the carpool line, we got into a hurry and she left without telling me goodbye or giving me a kiss. It took about 3 seconds for me to break down. I remember feeling alone and scared. Ugh, I almost tear up thinking about it...

Thus began the trek up the mountain whose summit we reach on the 5th/11th. It's been one heck of a trip guys. The best part is, the best is yet to come.

im leaving tomorrow AM, so this will probably be the last update for a while.

Ive had a blast today. It snowed its butt off all early this morning, like before 5, and so we woke up and we couldnt see anything out the windows. it turns out that no one had to go to work today and the interstate was closed becuase there was more than 2 feet of powder on the ground. so dad and I spent some chill time together, basically playing around on the computer/psp (i got my dad to play ridge racer) and then eventually decided to try to go out. so we braved the snow to go to the grocery store and then came back here and watched sky captain and the end of top gun, had a light dinner, and then chilled.

and thats what I'm doing now.

Oh yeah, we also rode around on the ATVs for a little while. IT WAS SO FREAKING COLD. We went and peed on the interstate cause it was closed and the snow drifts went right up to it. Haha add that to the list of things I've done. The wind was blowing like stink, so the snow was blowing vertically right into my face. But it was all ok because we got to run around in 2wheel drive mode doing powerslides and what not.

yes another long and meaningless entry

but is there really any other kind like that?

THAT was a great movie. those aliens were some bad boottaaayyy dudes, with those needles and stuff. definately a great one from that night dude. I think this one was better than sixth sense because Sixth Sense isn't that great the second time around.

Tomorrow = last full day here : ( ima miss my pops.

off to play ridge racer and watch some bonus features.

I have 2 free songs from iTunes. <lj:music>Louis Prima - Jive and Wail</lj:music>

Man, I miss the Internet.

Wednesday I went and got my PSP. I went at about 8 in the morning, on a school day, but I had a legitimate excuse. I had to go get some antibiotics from Uncle Ronnie's office. And get some stuff for my dad from the grocery. But other than that, I just wanted to get it. The only people at the mall that early were some dudes breaking some tile around the escalator and then a bunch of old people jogging. Yes, there were a bunch of senior citizens walking around the mall in workout clothes. The things we miss while we're in school.

Let me sum up the PSP in a sentence: This is the future of entertainment.

Maybe not THIS device, but this has created a new field that the iPod can't fill (and now must scramble to try and match). Games are the main function of the thing, but in the end the music, movies, and photos make this something I can carry around with me to break boredom whenever it rears its ugly head. And not only that, the thing is almost sexy in its styling. I can take it out in public without fearing a giant GEEK stamp on my forehead. Everyone that saw it on Thursday said, in several variants, "Wow, what is that? Can I see?" Even ole boy Joel was kinda jealous. And not only that, but I can't put it down. I bought 2 of the over 15 launch games and I love them. Both are quirky, but very fun.

At dad's right now in Trinidad, been skiing since Saturday (didn't get here until Friday night). Ride up was nice. PSP is awesome. I watched Spider Man 2 on it, and played Luminies and MGAcid most of the way up. I actually read a book I bought in Washington, In the Company of Soldiers, for a few hours. It's a great read. The car (2004 Yukon) I rode up (and will be riding back in) is PIMP. XM radio, DVD player, blah blah blah. On the way back, I want to watch a few DVDs. AND, in case you think I'm rude for not offering to drive or talking to the dude that is driving, know this: A.) I can't drive the car, it has commercial insurance which means you have to be 21+ to drive. B.) He's deaf, well, legally deaf, so talking to him isn't exactly easy. And he knows it. He basically discourages conversation, or at least most times when I tried to start it.

Yeah so I'm going to be back in town for Saturday. Dad has to work a lot, but I'm going to go out with him to the field at some point tommorrow. He bought me a new North Face shell on sale over the weekend, and it's really cool- orange and grey- but he made me get a large. It's massive. He said that I'm still growing, and then the stupid guy at the store said that that's the size I should get. I look like a freaking dwarf in it. But it has a removable jacket on the inside that's too big as well but looks cool (and is orange).

This entry is so long, you can smell the boredom. Pitch Black is on- Vin Diesel's the man.

Yeah actually it could get worse:
1. We lose Friday.
2. No one shows up Saturday.
3. I miss church.

But none of that's going to happen.

Yeah if you want to come to Halo Saturday know this- you have to have a marginal amount of game to play.

If you've never played before, don't bother.
If you can't beat me/Joel/Muthu/Smith/other good people, don't bother- the people coming are MUCH better than us.

So if you think you got it, go ahead and lemme know AT SCHOOL and I'll get you down. We should have food, etc., but if we don't, we're doing pizza with a group payout.

Saturday, 7 pm to about 12 pm (and I'm counting on you slackers to probably show up late)
10142 South Vignes Road BR, LA 70817 (mapquest, people)

So far my probables are:
Joel
Muthu
Deepto
Big Mike
Josh
Gee-Wey
Andrew

Maybes:
David
Sanjay
Sharam

Yet-to-be-invited:
Lance
Rob
Terry
Brad

yeah so get on that.

I was just thinking of some reasons men were so much happier than women...

Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be president.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO T-shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress -- $5000.
